To celebrate, the Kasson Public Library is hosting an OPEN HOUSE and employee recognition on Tuesday, April 14th 3:00-5:00 pm. at the Kasson Library. The Friends of the Library and Library Board of Trustees will honor Donna Kirchgatter as the 2009 Library Worker during Library Workers Day. Come to the library to meet and thank people who make your library programs and services possible each and every day- Library Director Bonnie Adams, Children Librarian Ingvild Herfindal, Circulation Mary Kramer.
National Library Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in your community. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. This is a time to recognize the valuable employees of our nation’s libraries and a great time to see what’s new @ your library.
Today’s libraries are modern community centers where everyone is invited to explore, dream and learn. All that’s missing is you! This is National Library Week, so visit your library today – in person or online. Bring your curiosity, imagination and creativity, and see how worlds connect @ your library.
