For October's Intergenerational Storytime at Prairie Meadows a Fall, Leaves and Halloween theme was chosen by Lisa Jensen and Tara Erickson team leaders of the Books on Wheel Program through the Kasson Public Library. The children and seniors heard stories about leaves, apples , pumpkins and a scary Halloween story.
For the craft project by the children, to give to the seniors, a wax paper placemat was selected. The children helped the seniors chose their leaves and other items and then their mom's iron the
wax paper and sealed the edges and finished with a ribbon to hang in their rooms. The seniors and children throughly enjoyed this interchange between the generations and eagerly look forward to the monthly event.
