Pets On Parade Coloring Contest

Each year Kasson Public Library has a coloring contest as part of our summer reading program. This year we chose a puppy or kitty to color as part of our 2007 Pets On Parade theme. We had 274 children return their pictures to be judged and we chose 15 winners from ages 1-15. We have placed the winning pictures in our lobby and have also included the rest of the coloring sheets as children love to find their picture and compare it to others their age. Winners received either a stuffed animal or $10.00 in Kasson Chamber Bucks to spend in town.

We are very fortunate to have 568 ( that about half of the school age children in the K-M area) children sign up for our summer reading program. The library in partnership with the school and parents feel it is very important for children to read over the summer.
