784 is the magic number

Everyone's been wondering how long Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows might be. Will it be the longest in the series? If so, how close will it be to 1000 pages? Well, as it turns out, Scholastic announced that the US version of the book will clock in at 784 pages, making it the second longest in the series, after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The most astounding fact? Over 16,700 tons of paper will be used during the first run of 12 million copies (U.S. printing only). WOW!!
