March Hot Reads-Girl Scouts 100th Birthday

Friends of the Library March Hot Read program featured the 100th Birthday of the Girl Scouting program.

Kasson resident Lois Gardner has been active in Girls Scouts for over 52 years and her presentation featured highlights of the K-M, Rochester and southeastern region girl scout programs. Lois had many patches of events and places she attended in her various responsibilities as a local, district and regional scout leader. Lois and her husband worked for many years at the Whispering Hill camp as director and caretaker.

Gardner continues to volunteer on the Heritage Committee involving the Archives of Girl Scouting.
