Updated Circulation desk

During the week of Christmas the library updated their circulation desk. It was quite an undertaking to remove the old desk and replace it with a modular system. Many people were involved in successful completion of the project.

An electrician came in on a Saturday to cut the power, city employees removed the old desk. The carpet store removed and installed some new carpet early on Monday morning and then in the afternoon the office system employees put the modular system together. Then the electricans came Monday evening and Tuesday morning to hook up the power and install new wiring and outlets. Tuesday afternoon the phone technicians rewired the internet connections and finally on Wednesday the regional library staff brought all 10 computers back to life.

Many positive comments from library patrons on the new look for the desk and for the first time in this location, all library employees are in together to better serve the public.
