Two members of the public library staff visited the elementary today to talk about the upcoming summer reading program Catch the Reading Bug.
Children's Librarian Ingvild Herfindahl and Library Director Bonnie Adams spoke to the students about how to sign up for the program, coloring contest information, reading contracts for minutes read and how to win weekly prizes. Children in the older reading category have a chance at a MP3 player, and the prizes for the younger children are just as impressive.
The best part of the summer reading program is that it is free and so are the programs. The first is the Wonderful World of Reptiles and Amphibians for everyone and the second is Sing and Dance With MJ for Preschool/Kindergarten students.
