Children's Librarian Ingvild gets lots of laughs and silliness when she plays her auto-harp and has the children sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star very fast, slow and regular. Legacy Program with entertainer Star Michaelina to over 253 children at the
Kasson Elementary School Gym on Thursday, June 21st.
Magician Star Michaelina's wowed the crowd with her interactive magic show
with tricks involving books and the importance of reading. The children thoroughly enjoyed her performance especially
when Star brought a young child up and talked about the main character Douglas
the Dog and created a balloon version of the dog.

activities are part of the 2012 Dream Bg...Read Summer Reading

XO by Jeffrey Deaver Pub Date 6/12
COUNTRY-POP INGÉNUE Kayleigh Towne’s career is just reaching new heights
with her huge hit single “Your Shadow”—but increased fame is also bringing
unwanted attention. An innocent exchange with one of her fans, signed with an
“XO,” leads Kayleigh into the dangerous and terrifying realm of obsession.
Edwin Sharp thinks Kayleigh’s songs contain messages that speak directly to
him. Despite her clear rejection and threats from lawyers and law enforcers, he
remains convinced that “Your Shadow” was written just for him, and he announces
he’s coming for Kayleigh. Then a potentially fatal accident occurs at the
concert hall where Kayleigh is rehearsing for a triumphant hometown performance,
and she is convinced that someone—maybe Edwin—was there watching her from the
darkness.
True to his word, Edwin Sharp soon makes an ominous appearance in town, and
California Bureau of Investigation Agent Kathryn Dance, a friend and fan of
Kayleigh’s on vacation in Fresno to attend the show, intervenes on her behalf,
drawing Sharp’s frightening attention to herself. That night a member of the
road crew whom Kayleigh had once dated is murdered in an eerie echo of an image
from her chart-topping song. As more deaths loom on the horizon, Kathryn Dance
must use her considerable skills at investigation and body-language analysis to
stop the stalker and save more innocent victims. But before long she learns
that, like many celebrities, Kayleigh has more than one fan with a mission . . .

Lizzy Tucker’s once normal life as a pastry chef in Salem, Massachusetts, turns
upside down as she battles both sinister forces and an inconvenient attraction
to her unnaturally talented but off-limits partner, Diesel.
When Harvard
University English professor and dyed-in-the-wool romantic Gilbert Reedy is
mysteriously murdered and thrown off his fourth-floor balcony, Lizzy and Diesel
take up his twenty-year quest for the Luxuria Stone, an ancient relic believed
by some to be infused with the power of lust. Following clues contained in a
cryptic nineteenth-century book of sonnets, Lizzy and Diesel tear through Boston
catacombs, government buildings, and multimillion-dollar residences. On their
way they’ll leave behind a trail of robbed graves, public disturbances, and
general mayhem.
Diesel’s black sheep cousin, Gerwulf Grimoire, also
wants the Stone. His motives are far from pure, and what he plans on doing with
the treasure, no one knows . . . but Lizzy Tucker fears she’s in his crosshairs.
Never far and always watching, Grimoire has a growing, vested interest in the
cupcake-baker-turned-finder-of-lost-things. As does another dangerous and dark
opponent in the hunt—a devotee of lawlessness and chaos, known only as
Anarchy.

for his friend Jay Pendleton look like a cakewalk, but it's nothing that the
former Green Beret can't handle.
A woman's heart, however—that's dangerous territory. Back in Texas, Grange's

American nation of Barrera; when Peg arrives unannounced, she's a distraction he
can't avoid. She's determined to show Grange she can be useful on and off the

Corduroy Mansions, Pimlico is an oasis of old-fashioned civilisation, its
inhabitants considerate and peace-loving. But beneath the polite exterior
seismic change is stirring. Barbara Ragg makes an eye-popping discovery about
her stolid Scottish suitor's past, while Oedipus Snark - newly appointed and
tirelessly self-interested Government Minister - has a close encounter in
Switzerland that leaves him a new man all together. Then plucky canine Freddie
de la Hay goes missing, and his owner, widower William French, is so shaken by
an unexpected declaration of love that he seriously considers making a
disappearance himself. Goodhearted, well-intentioned but often to be found
barking up the wrong tree, the residents of Corduroy Mansions remain a
thoroughly entertaining example to us all.
This weeks theme is Clouds. We read Cloudette by Tom Littenheld, a story of a little cloud and what she needed to do to be big and important like the average sized clouds.
